BHC4100 – BALDR 4" Centrifugal Sand Separator, 440 GPM

The BHC4100 is a 4" centrifugal sand separator that removes sand, gravel, and heavy particulate from irrigation water using centrifugal force — no screens, discs, or filter media to clog or replace. Install it as a first-stage filter before disc or screen filters to protect downstream equipment and significantly extend secondary filter cleaning intervals.

Key Features & Benefits

  • Centrifugal separation — water enters tangentially, creating a vortex that flings heavy particles (sand, gravel, sediment) to the outer wall and down into the collector tank; clean water exits from the center
  • No filter media to clog — no screens, discs, or cartridges to clean or replace; the separator works purely on centrifugal force and gravity
  • 4.2-gallon collector tank — holds separated debris; flush periodically through the drain port without shutting down the system
  • Reinforced polypropylene body — resistant to corrosion, chemicals, and sand abrasion for long service life
  • Easy maintenance — disassembles easily for cleaning; collector cover opens for full access to the sediment chamber

Typical Applications

Well Water Filtration: Place directly after a deep well pump to quickly remove sand and gravel before it reaches the rest of your system.

Irrigation System: For river or lake water sources, use as first-stage filtration to remove sand and gravel before disc or screen filters.

Industrial Filtration: For recycled water, operates as primary filtration paired with a disc or screen filter for more thorough treatment.

How It Works

Water enters the separator tangentially, creating a high-speed vortex. Centrifugal force pushes heavier particles (sand, gravel, sediment) to the outer wall, where they spiral down into the collector tank. Clean water reverses direction in the center and exits through the outlet.
