BALDR 4" hydraulically operated pressure sustaining valve with manual pilot control and flanged connections. Sustains a minimum preset upstream (back) pressure by throttling closed when upstream pressure drops below the set point. Opens fully when line pressure exceeds the setting. Protects upstream equipment (pumps, filters) from low-pressure conditions when multiple zones draw simultaneously.

The pressure sustaining pilot valve [1] causes the main valve to be slowly closed when the upstream pressure [P1] is lower than the minimum preset pressure, and fully opens when [P1] is in excess of setting. Local manual shut-off of the valve can be performed with the manual Shuttle Valve [2].
