Its 2.6" clear opening diameter allows rapid air evacuation during system startup, and it automatically admits air during shutdown to prevent vacuum-induced pipe collapse.

Why Air Vents Matter
Trapped air in irrigation pipelines causes reduced flow, pressure surges (water hammer), inaccurate flow meter readings, and potential pipe damage.
