The RKARVC-200 is a 2" triple-action aluminum air vent that goes beyond simple air release. In addition to expelling trapped air during startup and admitting air during shutdown, it provides continuous air release during normal system operation — automatically venting the small air pockets that accumulate at high points while the system is pressurized.

Simple vs. Continuous Air Vents
Simple-action air vents only operate during startup (air expulsion) and shutdown (vacuum relief). Continuous air vents add a third function: they release small air bubbles that dissolve out of water and collect at high points during normal operation. If your system experiences reduced flow, pressure fluctuations, or inaccurate meter readings during operation, a continuous air vent solves these problems.
