The A Type 2" Aluminum Camlock is a male cam and groove adapter with a 2" female NPT thread on the other side.
It is commonly used to add a quick-connect camlock outlet to pumps, valves, manifolds, or tanks
that have a 2" male NPT connection.
Once installed, any 2" female camlock coupler (Types B, C, or D) can be quickly connected or disconnected
without tools, which is ideal for portable irrigation setups, water transfer, and maintenance access.
Key Features
Standard Type A camlock – 2" male cam & groove adapter x 2" female NPT.
Lightweight aluminum body – durable and corrosion-resistant for agricultural and industrial use.
Creates a camlock outlet – easily adapts pumps, valves, and manifolds to cam & groove connections.
Compatible with 2" female camlock couplers such as Types B, C, and D.
On the threaded side (pump / tank / manifold side):
Thread the 2" female NPT end onto any 2" male NPT outlet on pumps, valves, manifolds, or pipe.
Use thread sealant or PTFE tape as required by your system.
On the camlock side (hose / adapter side):
Use with any 2" female camlock coupler (Types B, C, or D).
Insert the Type A male adapter fully into the female coupler.
Close both cam arms on the coupler at the same time until they are fully locked down.
The gasket inside the coupler compresses around the adapter for a tight, leak-resistant seal.
Typical Applications
Adding a 2" camlock outlet to pumps, valves, or tanks.
Connecting lay flat or suction hose assemblies with female camlock couplers.
Temporary or seasonal irrigation and water transfer systems.
Choosing the Right Camlock Type for Your System
Type A camlocks are usually installed on equipment outlets so that hoses with female camlock couplers can
connect quickly. For a typical setup you might combine:
Type A 2" Aluminum Camlock on the pump, valve, or tank outlet (threaded side).
Type C or D female camlock on the hose side.
A T-bolt clamp if the hose end uses a hose shank fitting.
