This Schedule 40 PVC threaded reducer bushing transitions from 1" male pipe thread (MPT) to 1/2" female pipe thread (FPT). Thread the 1" end into any 1" FPT opening - tee, coupler, valve body, or pipe fitting - and the 1/2" FPT end accepts a 1/2" MPT connection such as a sprinkler riser, valve, or nipple.
